Another Welsh beat ensemble, and certainly the most accomplished of the Seriously Groovy releases covered here, Mo-Ho-Bish-O-Pi put a cheeky, quirky spin on the standard alternative guitar music template, as titles such as "Smoke Yourself Thin" might suggest. There's also something curiously affecting about that flat, Ringo circa 1964 drumming that helps snag the attention. Ignoring the fact that it's still roughly the same idea that P@v#m#nt had ten years ago, I'll grudgingly concur that their recent elevation to major label status was more deserved than some.
